As one of the six major strategic cooperation platforms during "New Era" in Guangdong Province, Sino-German Industrial Service Zone has also been a cooperation program listed in Joint Statement on Further Promoting Two-way Investment between China and Germany, according to Ministry of Commerce of China and Ministry of Economic Affairs of Germany. The platform facilitates cooperation in areas as follow:

1. Sino-German Industrial City Alliance, an international cooperation platform initiated by major industrial cities in China and Germany that works to facilitate economic/trade exchanges and technological cooperation between cities in membership. To this date, a total of 47 cities have joined in the alliance, including 27 from China and 20 from Germany. Secretariat of the Alliance is located inside Sino-German Industrial Service Zone. On a yearly basis, major brand campaigns are held here as well.

2. International Intelligent manufacturing Programs, including KUKA(Germany) Industrial Park and Philips(Germany) Intelligent Robots and Water Health Manufacturing R&D Base. Currently, more international robotic brand projects, such as those from Germany and Italy, are being introduced to Sino-German Industrial Service Zone. Progressively, Foshan Sanlongwan Robot Valley will be empowered with a higher level of international advantages.

3. German Industrial Service Projects, as spearheaded by Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center in cooperation with German Hannover Exhibition Co., Ltd. The center facilitates services from German industrial technology service organizations in Sanlongwan and Foshan as a whole. In order to scale up bilateral cooperation between Foshan and Germany, negotiations are going well in progress for more projects on international vocational education, certification/testing and business consulting.
