Exploring Sanlongwan: Embracing the Beauty of the Green-Tech City on Foshan 50-KM Hike

On March 23, nearly 300 people from 6 grand squads, including government units, institutions, high-level talents, and international talents, gathered at the starting point of the 2024 Foshan 50 KM Hiking Sanlongwan Line. After a full tech sense departure ceremony, the hike officially commenced.

Sanlongwan, as a key link in Foshan's active participation in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the promotion of the "Guangzhou-Foshan Joint Development Pole" initiative, Sanlongwan has focused on investment attraction, talent recruitment, industrial development, infrastructure construction, and continuously enhancing its innovation capacity and infrastructure in recent years, aiming to create a modern high-tech city that integrates industry, urban development, and humanistic culture.

6 Grand Squads Brim With Anticipation

During the event, robots interacted with the hosts, showcasing the technological essence of Sanlongwan.

In recent years, Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City has continuously introduced scientific and technological carriers and platforms, with the Jihua Laboratory as the representative, followed a "groundbreaking research" route and accelerated the introduction of leading talents and high-level talents. Meanwhile, a batch of scientific and technological innovation projects have settled in Sanlongwan, such as Phase II of Runhui Science and Technology Park, Meisheng Peach Blossom Source Science and Technology Park, and Alibaba Cloud Innovation Center, making Sanlongwan a highland for talent gathering in Foshan.

Li Jiamin, a researcher at Jihua Laboratory who has been working there for more than three years, said, "This is a great place for both work and leisure. You can rest well and work efficiently," She has witnessed the rapid development of Sanlongwan, "The development here is rapid. In the past two years, new transportation options have been introduced, including Foshan Metro Line 2. In addition, scenic spots such as Wenhan Lake Park and Sanshan Forest Park have also been developed, offering beautiful scenery."

Industrial Talents Experience the Beauty of the Green-Tech City

Sanlongwan Line starts from Wenhan Lake Park and passes through Yulian Square, Banyuedao Ecological Park, and Century Lotus Sports Center, a total distance of about 20 kilometers.

Wenhan Lake Park, the starting point of the hike, is currently in full bloom with Persian chrysanthemums for visitors to admire. Besides, it is equipped with artificial beaches, large camping lawns, children's playground facilities, and a landscape platform, attracting many people to take photos.

Banyuedao Ecological Park has introduced Dongping River water. It can be seen as a veritable urban ecological "oasis". The park features a circular plank road, a lake island square, an aerial corridor, and a space-themed children's amusement area, allowing people to enjoy the beautiful scenery while they hike leisurely.

Century Lotus Sports Center, the endpoint of the hike, located in the core area of Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City, specially set up a Sino-European market, showcasing 20 companies from Germany, Switzerland, and Sanlongwan. The exhibited products include sports glasses, candies, beer, and lamps from Germany, as well as scooters, balance cars from Switzerland, and discounted cruise tickets from Sanlongwan, enabling residents to enjoy "cross-border shopping" experiences and Sino-European culture.

Jane Eleanor Arden, head of Foshan LEH International School, has fallen in love with Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City. "We are very happy to participate in this event, to experience the beauty of this city, and to establish connections with the local community. This event shows that we not only work but also live in Foshan," she said.
